Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Discussed the Development of Bilateral Cooperation

On June 8, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan A. Gurbanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Usmanov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the high-level meeting marking the 30th anniversary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed issues related to Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached following visits at the highest and high levels. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the existing legal and contractual framework for the further development of bilateral partnership.
The sides also exchanged views on cooperation within regional and international organizations. They reaffirmed their readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening regional stability, security, and economic development.
Following the meeting, the parties noted the positive dynamics of Turkmen-Uzbek relations and confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation.
