A seminar on SPECA was held at the IIR MFA of Turkmenistan

A seminar dedicated to the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press office of the institute.

The event took place on 4 July 2026 at the initiative of the ‘Young Economists’ scientific club at the Department of International Economic Relations. Students from the Faculty of International Economic Relations took part.

The seminar was led by B. Atayev, a lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations. Participants discussed regional projects within the framework of SPECA and their significance for the development of transport and logistics, trade and energy.

Particular attention was paid to Turkmenistan’s initiatives to strengthen regional economic cooperation and implement the country’s peace-oriented economic strategy. During the meeting, students received answers to their questions.
