On 3 October, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yerevan, Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, who is completing his diplomatic mission. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.
V. Khachaturyan conveyed congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
The President of Armenia also noted the high level of bilateral relations, as well as his positive impressions from his visits to Ashgabat and participation in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone.
At the meeting, the parties emphasised the importance of political, economic and humanitarian cooperation. The Ambassador conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
The President of Armenia thanked the diplomat for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations and wished him success.
