The large-scale educational programme C5+ONE (‘Opening Networks Through English’), organised with the support of the United States, continues in Almaty. Among the 27 Turkmen participants are teachers from universities and secondary schools who, together with colleagues from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, are improving their teaching methods and language skills. This was reported by the IIC.

The programme, which started in May 2025, includes three consecutive stages. After completing the online course, participants began a face-to-face intensive course in Almaty, which will last until 3 August. The final stage will be a nine-month period of professional development and networking.

According to the organisers, the key objective of the initiative is not only to improve English language skills, but also to establish sustainable professional ties between specialists in Central Asia. This should contribute to regional integration and more active inclusion of countries in the international educational space.

Turkmen teachers are actively involved in the learning process, studying modern approaches to teaching. It is expected that upon their return, they will be able to apply the knowledge gained in the national education system, contributing to the improvement of language training for students and schoolchildren.
