Turkmenistan expands network of modern medical facilities

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Ashgabat, where he familiarised himself with plans for new medical facilities and held a meeting with relevant officials. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.

Among the facilities planned for construction are multi-profile hospitals in Ashgabat and Tejen, a maternal and child health centre in Dashoguz, and a health centre in the Bagtyyarlyk etrap of Ashgabat. They will be equipped with modern equipment and comply with international standards.

The Head of State emphasised the importance of quality and construction deadlines, and also instructed that the new medical facilities be equipped with digital technologies and that qualified specialists be trained, including through cooperation with foreign clinics.

The meeting discussed the dynamics of work in healthcare, preparations for the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers, as well as the modernisation of medical centres as part of the ‘Saglyk’ state programme, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov called for thorough preparation for the laying of new facilities and the holding of an international exhibition and conference dedicated to the professional holiday.

The President of Turkmenistan stressed that work on the development of the national healthcare system and improving the quality of medical services will continue.
