The Turkmenistan delegation took part in the fourth high-level meeting of the EU's DARYA programme, held on 30–31 October in Turin, Italy. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.
Representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, EU institutions and international organisations also participated in the forum.
Pilvi Torsti, Director of the European Training Foundation, noted the programme's successes and the strengthening of links between education and the labour market. EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Eduards Stiprais emphasised the importance of the project for the region, where almost half of the population is young. According to him, the development of professional skills increases employment and social stability.
On the first day of the meeting, participants visited the Apro Formazione centre and the Ferrero factory in Alba, where they learned about practices combining training and innovation.
