A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in a training course on the regulation and integration of renewable energy, which was held from 29 September to 1 October 2025 at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy). This was reported by the news website Asmannews.
The event, organised by the Florence School of Regulation (FSR) in collaboration with European partners, brought together politicians, regulators and experts from around the world. The Turkmen delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Concern ‘Türkmengaz’, the Ministry of Energy and the State Energy Institute.
The programme included discussions on international experience in the field of renewable energy, investment support mechanisms, network development, and innovative Power-to-X technologies.
Participation in the course was part of the EU-funded project ‘EU for a green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action 2024-2028’, financed by the EU and the German Foreign Ministry, and was a step towards strengthening international cooperation and promoting sustainable development goals.
