During the 113th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, a delegation from Turkmenistan led by Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the population Muhammetseyit Sylapov held a series of important meetings with international partners. This was reported by the IIC.

On 5 June, talks were held with the leadership of key organisations in the field of labour relations. During a meeting with Roberto Suarez-Santos, Secretary-General of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), the prospects for expanding cooperation were discussed, including issues of technical support and the integration of Turkmen employers into international processes.

A separate meeting was held with Luc Triangle, General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), where the main focus was on developing tripartite cooperation between the state, employers and trade unions. The parties considered the possibility of Turkmenistan's trade unions joining the ITUC and discussed their participation in shaping the country's social policy.
