Against the backdrop of the escalating situation in the Middle East, Turkmenistan is promptly providing its territory for the departure of foreign diplomats, their families and other citizens currently in Iran. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

According to the latest data, about 120 people, including citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Romania and other countries, have already crossed the border of Turkmenistan through checkpoints.

All arrivals have been provided with the necessary assistance: transport, food, basic necessities and hotel accommodation.

The humanitarian operation is being carried out in coordination with foreign diplomatic missions and international organisations. Turkmenistan's state structures are involved in ensuring smooth coordination.

In this way, the country is demonstrating its commitment to the principles of humanity, international solidarity and good neighbourliness, especially in the context of the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed on the initiative of Ashgabat and supported by the UN General Assembly.
