Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The interlocutors exchanged assessments on key areas of current cooperation and considered possible vectors for its further development. The effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries on international platforms, primarily within the UN system, was noted separately.

The active participation of the Moldovan delegation in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC-3), which was held in August in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone, was highlighted.

In addition, the Ministers discussed organisational issues related to the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for 12 December in Ashgabat and timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and the International Day of Neutrality.
