On 10 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed Turkmenistan's current cooperation with the UN and its agencies, as well as preparations for the meeting of the Turkmenistan-UN Strategic Advisory Council.

They noted the start of the next session of the UN General Assembly in New York, which has become a key platform for discussing the global agenda. As part of the preparations for the 80th anniversary of the UN, Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to assist in organising events on its territory.
