The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, congratulated the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the adoption of the ‘Awaza Political Declaration’ Resolution at the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Hero Arkadag emphasised that this event, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, was an important step in strengthening the country's international authority and promoting its peaceful foreign policy.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that under the leadership of the Head of State, Turkmenistan demonstrates its commitment to the principles of friendship and trust, and the successful holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and the adoption of the ‘Awaza Programme of Action for 2024-2034’ and the ‘Awaza Political Declaration’ confirmed the active role of the state in solving global problems.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed confidence that the initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan in the fields of ecology, energy and humanitarian cooperation will contribute to the further strengthening of multilateral partnerships and the growth of Turkmenistan's international authority.
