On 24 May, the XXIV White City Ashgabat Multidisciplinary International Exhibition and Conference, timed to coincide with the City Day, which is celebrated annually on 25 May, started at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The forum has become a landmark event in the context of strengthening international cooperation, bringing together delegations from 30 countries, the IIC reported.

The event was organised by the Mayor of Ashgabat, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen Energy Forum economic society. Their key task is to demonstrate the evolution of Ashgabat as a ‘smart’, sustainable metropolis, where modern technologies are harmoniously combined with the national identity.

The forum is attended by representatives of a wide range of industries - from urban planning and transport infrastructure to information technology and ecology. As part of the business programme, participants will present innovative solutions, exchange experience and discuss the current vectors of urban environment development.

The participants include delegations from Russia, China, the Republic of Korea, Turkey and other countries. Turkmen entrepreneurs, whose initiatives and startups are becoming an integral part of the economic landscape of the country, are also actively represented.
