The National Museum of Turkmen Carpet held a traditional exhibition dedicated to the Turkmen Carpet Holiday. It is reported by the state news agency TDH.

According to the source, the programme of the event included performances of creative groups and reading out a congratulatory message from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The celebration was attended by dignitaries and diplomats. The best craftswomen were awarded for their contribution to the preservation of traditions.

In addition, the Assembly of the World Society of Turkmen Carpet Connoisseurs was held to discuss the history, ornamentation and modern trends of carpet weaving.
