Turkmenistan has officially declared its intention to establish an International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The relevant Decree was signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on 27 June in the format of a video conference. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The new university will be located in a specially constructed building and will begin accepting students in the 2025–2026 academic year for bachelor's degree programmes.

The aim of the university is to train highly qualified specialists for the private sector of the economy. Teaching will be conducted in accordance with international standards, with the involvement of foreign teachers and experts.

The Ministry of Education has been tasked with developing and approving the university's charter, organising the licensing and accreditation process, and providing methodological support in the development of curricula.

The initiative to establish the university is part of a broader government strategy to develop entrepreneurship, stimulate the private sector and build a modern workforce for the country's economy.
