A panel discussion on digital transformation in education was held in London as part of the Education World Forum on 19 May this year. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev, who presented national initiatives in this area. This is reported by the Ministry of Education of the country.
During the panel session, which brought together ministers and experts from different countries, the key challenges and opportunities of digitalisation of education were discussed. Azat Atayev emphasised Turkmenistan's commitment to the introduction of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, and the creation of a unified educational platform. Special attention was paid to the personalisation of education, ethical aspects of using AI, as well as the development of public-private partnerships in this area.
The Deputy Minister noted that Turkmenistan has already established an advisory council with the participation of representatives of the private sector to support digital transformation. He also reiterated the country's readiness to follow international standards, including UNESCO recommendations and OECD principles.
The discussion aroused great interest among the forum participants and facilitated the exchange of experience between the countries in building innovative educational systems.
