A delegation from Turkmenistan, headed by Deputy Minister of Communications Berdymyrat Berdyev, is participating in the international forum Kazan Digital Week 2026, which is being held in Kazan from October 29 to 31. This was reported by the news agency “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The forum, held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, has brought together more than 20,000 participants from 76 countries. Attendees include representatives of government agencies, businesses, the scientific community and the digital technology sector.

The main theme of the forum is the practical application of artificial intelligence. Participants are discussing the digitalization of industry, public administration, healthcare, education and agriculture, as well as cybersecurity issues.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Berdymyrat Berdyev outlined the implementation of Turkmenistan’s State Programme for the Development of the Digital Economy. The Deputy Minister of Communications emphasized the country’s commitment to developing digital infrastructure and strengthening its role as a reliable digital bridge between East and West, and North and South.

Artificial intelligence technologies are being introduced in Turkmenistan’s public and social sectors. Adaptive learning systems are used in education, while healthcare employs algorithms for the early diagnosis of diseases. In the economy, systems for forecasting crop yields and intelligently managing traffic flows are being developed.

Berdymyrat Berdyev also highlighted the city of Arkadag, which was presented as a model of a “smart” and environmentally sustainable city. Its infrastructure incorporates advanced ICT solutions and green technologies, while the city’s management and security systems integrate the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence.

The forum also features an exhibition of technological developments showcasing digital solutions from government organizations, major companies and technology startups.
