Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Austria, Hemra Amannazarov, held a meeting in Vienna on June 2 with the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Gerd Müller. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
The parties discussed expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNIDO in the areas of sustainable industrial development, economic diversification, innovation, and capacity building. Particular attention was given to the prospects for green industry, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Amannazarov reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to industrial modernization and sustainable economic growth, emphasizing the importance of UNIDO’s support. For his part, the head of the organization confirmed UNIDO’s readiness to further strengthen the partnership.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in deepening cooperation and implementing new joint initiatives.
