On May 7, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, A. Bayramov, held a meeting with Takuma Miyaji, Chair of the Committee on the Environment of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan and member of the Japan–Turkmenistan Interparliamentary Friendship Group. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for its contribution to the development of Turkmen–Japanese cooperation.

The parties discussed the expansion of interparliamentary cooperation. The importance of developing contacts between political parties was noted, including between the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.

They also considered prospects for cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, agriculture, and horse breeding.
