On 16 July 2025, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, met with the Director of the Political Directorate for Global Affairs K. Sikharulidze, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres, as well as the possibility of regular consultations between the departments. It was noted that the high level of trust and friendship between the Heads of State contributes to the strengthening of relations.

Cooperation in international organisations was also discussed, including preparations for the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3). In conclusion, the participants emphasised the importance of continuing dialogue to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
