At the CIET 2025 International Conference on Industry and Energy, Sergey Lobanov, General Manager of ‘Sumitomo Corporation Central Eurasia LLC’ (Japan), announced the company's desire to strengthen its partnership with Turkmenistan, according to the news website Asmannews.

He emphasised that the introduction of Japanese technologies ensures a high level of quality and reliability in energy and infrastructure.

According to Lobanov, the corporation's participation in the forum demonstrates Turkmenistan's growing role as a strategic partner in projects for the development of a low-carbon economy and innovative construction. The company intends to expand its cooperation with the Turkmen side.
