The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship will finance the design and construction of a mosque in the city of Fizuli (Azerbaijan). The relevant contract was signed with the private Turkmen company ‘Aga-gurluşyk’, according to the news website Asmannews.

This decision reflects the expansion of the Fund's humanitarian activities and the strengthening of friendly ties between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. The document was signed on the instructions of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In addition, the Foundation has signed an agreement with the company ‘Sport ýyldyzy’ on the modernisation of the buildings of the ‘Jahan’ creative centre and the ‘Şehitler’ mosque in Turkmenistan, as well as on the construction of a new multifunctional sports complex.
