Turkmenistan and the ILO strengthen partnership in the field of labour standards

On the sidelines of the 114th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, Muhammetseyit Silapov, held talks with the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Gilbert Houngbo. This was reported by the Orient news agency.
The parties discussed the development of cooperation in the areas of labour market modernization, improvement of the social protection system, and the implementation of international labour standards. Special attention was given to the implementation of joint initiatives and the further strengthening of the partnership.
The talks confirmed the high level of interaction between Turkmenistan and the ILO, as well as the commitment of both sides to developing open social dialogue in accordance with international norms.
