A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, under the headship of its Chairman Mergen Gurdov, took part in the second Turkmenistan-UAE Business Forum, which was held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The forum was organised jointly with the SCCI with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the UAE and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE. Representatives of government agencies and the private sector of both countries took part in the forum.

M. Gurdov noted that dialogue at a high political level contributes to the active development of trade and economic ties. He emphasised Turkmenistan's desire to diversify its economy and attract foreign investment. SCCI Chairman Abdallah Sultan Al Owais expressed his readiness to support Turkmen business.

The forum presented investment opportunities in the UAE, while Turkmen entrepreneurs showcased projects in industry, agriculture, energy and logistics. An exhibition of Turkmen goods was held, ranging from food products and textiles to building materials, and bilateral meetings between business representatives of the two countries were held.

The Turkmen delegation also visited Sharjah's permanent industrial exhibition, learning about the activities of local enterprises and current trends in the development of the UAE's manufacturing sector.
