The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman of the state concern “Turkmengaz” Kemal Durdyyev, is taking part in Baku Energy Week, which is being held in Baku from June 1 to 3, 2026. The event is dedicated to green energy issues, energy security, and the development of the oil and gas sector, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
Within the forum, Kemal Durdyyev held a meeting with Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov. The sides discussed the current state and prospects of energy cooperation between the two countries. A positive dynamic of interaction in the traditional energy sector was noted. Possible new directions of partnership and the expansion of practical cooperation were also considered.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further developing strategic cooperation.
