At one of Turkmenistan's largest fields, Goturdepe, the modernisation of oil production has been completed. As part of the project, new gas lift equipment has been installed, which has increased the flow rate of more than 400 wells and stabilised production, according to the news website Asmannews.

The modernisation began with the launch of a gas compressor station with a capacity of 12 million cubic metres of gas per day, which ensured an effective transition to the gas lift method.

The project was implemented jointly by engineers from ‘Nebitgazçykaryş’ and scientists from the ‘Nebitgazylmytaslama’ Institute, which made it possible to quickly implement scientific developments in production.

The successful modernisation strengthens the resource base of Goturdepe, stimulates the development of the oil and gas industry and demonstrates Turkmenistan's commitment to innovation and improving energy security.
