On 25 November, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan participated in the final meeting of the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia 2025, which took place in Dushanbe. This was reported by IIC.

The participants reviewed reports on projects related to the promotion of gender equality and support for women and girls within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Turkmen delegation emphasised the importance of the UN General Assembly Resolution proclaiming 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The strengthening of the role of women in the political, economic and social spheres of the country was also noted.

The meeting recalled the contribution of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, based in Ashgabat, to the development of regional cooperation on topical issues.
