President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council Eric Stewart on June 4 during his visit to the country. This was reported by TDH.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of Turkmen-American cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic sphere. Eric Stewart reaffirmed the interest of U.S. business circles in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan and noted the steady growth of the country's economy.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the meeting of the Turkmen-American Business Council held as part of the visit served as an effective platform for exchanging views on key areas of partnership.
It was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the United States are developing on the principles of mutual respect, trust, and equal cooperation. One of the key areas of interaction remains trade and economic cooperation.
The head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan has accumulated positive experience in cooperation with American companies such as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland, and Nicklaus Design. The important role of the Turkmen-American Business Council in expanding business contacts, implementing investment projects, and strengthening economic ties between the two countries was also highlighted.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov further stressed the importance of regular meetings between representatives of the business communities of Turkmenistan and the United States and reaffirmed the country's readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with American companies.
For his part, Eric Stewart stated that U.S. business circles are prepared to participate in the implementation of new joint projects and to strengthen cooperation in the Turkmen market.
