On 17 September 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok. During the talks, they discussed key areas of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation and other issues of mutual interest. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation between the two countries in international organisations. The parties stressed the importance of joint activities within UNESCO aimed at preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage.
