Turkmenistan and Russia discussed cooperation in the field of information security

On 16 September 2025, Turkmenistan and Russia held inter-ministerial consultations on international information security in Moscow. The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the 2025–2026 Cooperation Programme between the Foreign Affairs Ministries of the two countries, signed in June this year. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral and regional cooperation in the field of international information security. Particular attention was paid to coordinating approaches at international forums and the issue of artificial intelligence.

On the same day, the Turkmen delegation took part in the 19th International Forum on Information Security at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The event, which will last until 18 September, includes a plenary session and four thematic sections, where leading experts exchange experiences and discuss current challenges in the field of information security.
