Turkmenistan and Pakistan discussed the development of cooperation

On July 2, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Atajan Movlamov held a meeting with the Director General UN of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Umer Siddique, during which they discussed issues of cooperation within the UN. This was reported by the online news resource TerraNews.

During the meeting, A. Movlamov provided information about the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the Turkmen tourist zone ‘Avaza’. The Head of the diplomatic mission emphasised the importance of the forum for the international community.

Siddique welcomed Turkmenistan's initiative to host the conference, noting its importance for strengthening sustainable logistics and international confidence in the country's foreign policy.

The Turkmen ambassador also congratulated Pakistan on assuming the presidency of the UN Security Council and wished it success in promoting the ideas of the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The sides reaffirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation and interaction on UN platforms.
