On 1 December, Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Turkmenistan, Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Adwani, who presented copies of his credentials. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and noted its readiness to support his work on developing bilateral relations.

The meeting discussed the current state of relations and possible areas for their expansion. The discussion focused on political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. The importance of regular high-level contacts was noted.

The participation of the Kuwaiti delegation in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was discussed separately.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador thanked the Turkmen side and stated that he intended to work actively to strengthen friendly relations.
