On 15 September, Atajan Movlamov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with Senator Sitara Ayaz, Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians' Congress (IPC). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation, including deepening interparliamentary ties and exchanging experience between the IPC and the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. Particular emphasis was placed on establishing permanent channels of dialogue and regular contacts between parliamentarians of the two countries.

The participants expressed confidence that the development of these ties would form the basis for strengthening cooperation on a regional and international scale.
