On 30 September, the Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel in Doha hosted a ceremony dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, organised by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Qatar. This was reported by the news website Asmannews.

The event was attended by Qatar's Minister of Labour Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri, representatives of the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors and diplomats of foreign states accredited in Qatar, media representatives, as well as citizens of Turkmenistan and students.

Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Qatar, highlighted the country's achievements and stressed the importance of international cooperation, noting the adoption of the resolution ‘2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust’ on the initiative of Turkmenistan, supported by 86 states.

During the reception, a video clip and Turkmen folk songs were shown, and national dishes were offered.
