Turkmen and Indian analysts discussed prospects for cooperation

Employees of the Scientific Centre for Strategic Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an introductory online meeting with representatives of the Global South Centre of Excellence ‘DAKSHIN’ from India. This meeting was the latest in a series of meetings aimed at establishing working and business contacts between Turkmen analysts and their foreign colleagues, according to the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

During the meeting, Professor Gulshan Sachdeva presented the activities of the DAKSHIN Centre and expressed readiness for mutual cooperation. In turn, Shiri Shiriev, Head of the Scientific Centre for Strategic Studies of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan, outlined the institute's capabilities and proposed areas for joint research.

The parties noted their interest in continuing the dialogue, especially in the context of the topics discussed at the fourth meeting of the ‘Central Asia – India’ Dialogue, held on 6 June in New Delhi. At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their intention to formalise cooperation through relevant documents for the development of mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and India.
