President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his working visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the first ‘Central Asia – Italy’ Summit. This is reported by the state news agency ‘Turkmenistan Today’.

The Kazakh leader warmly welcomed his Turkmen counterpart, stressing the special importance of strengthening the traditional bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries. The Kazakh side expressed interest in further expansion of multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked for the invitation to the summit and hospitality, noting the strategic importance of the forum for the development of interaction between the countries of Central Asia and Italy. Confidence was expressed that the decisions taken during the summit will open new prospects for regional co-operation.
