On 15 September, Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Emir of Qatar conveyed greetings to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing gratitude for the support provided by Turkmenistan to Qatar.

During the conversation, the parties noted the high level of bilateral relations and broad prospects for cooperation, and also emphasised the importance of interaction within the framework of the UN, OIC and other international organisations.
