Turkmenistan participated in the meeting of the CIS Internal Affairs Ministries in Astana

A meeting of heads of operational departments of the Interior Ministries of the CIS countries was held in Astana, dedicated to issues of combating organised crime. The event was attended by representatives of Turkmenistan, as well as delegations from Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, according to the news website Turkmenportal.

The discussion focused on issues such as curbing illegal arms trafficking, strengthening the exchange of operational information between countries and improving methods of countering organised crime.

Kazakhstan's Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov noted the need to deepen cooperation not only in the fight against organised crime, but also in other areas, such as ensuring public safety, preventing crime and responding to modern threats.
