President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in digital format. Issues related to legislation, the economy, the social sphere and international cooperation were discussed, according to TDH.

Chairwoman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova reported on the work to update the legal framework. International experience is being studied. Changes to laws related to human rights and economic development are being prepared. Seminars with the participation of deputies were held for students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Turkmenistan. Parliamentarians also participated in meetings with representatives of UN structures.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov presented the draft ‘Programme of Socio-Economic Development and Investment of Turkmenistan in 2026’. The document was prepared on the basis of existing state programmes and the budget. The programme provides for support for macroeconomic stability, GDP growth, export development, import substitution, digital and ‘green’ technologies, and job creation.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the training of personnel for the oil and gas complex with international experience.

Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyev reported on the progress of agricultural work. Wheat crops are being tended and preparations are being made for cotton sowing. The development of livestock farming and the implementation of the National Forest Programme are continuing.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the modernisation of the enterprises of the State Concern ‘Türkmenhimiýa’. In particular, the ‘Türkmenturba’ plant.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on preparations for Turkmenistan's participation in the World Expo 2027 in Belgrade. The national pavilion will operate under the slogan ‘Turkmenistan – melody of peace, land of health’.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova reported on the events planned for February. They are timed to coincide with the motto for 2026 and Turkmenistan's Diplomatic Worker's Day. The events include conferences, exhibitions, concerts and film screenings.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the preparation of international Olympiads at the country's universities. Three international Olympiads will be held in March.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister R. Meredov reported on cooperation with the International Labour Organisation. It was proposed to extend the Roadmap until the end of 2026. The document aims to protect labour rights and prevent child labour.

Deputy Prime Minister M. Chakyev reported on the development of the digital economy and the need to regulate artificial intelligence technologies.

Other issues of public life were also considered. Decisions were made on these issues. Concluding the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants health, prosperity and success in their work.
