The ‘Avaza’ National Tourist Zone is hosting participants and guests of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3). This was reported by the news website Turkmenportal with reference to the newspaper ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’.

Delegations are being welcomed at Turkmenbashi International Airport in the spirit of Turkmen hospitality. A festive atmosphere reigns both in the city and in Avaza, with streets decorated with banners and welcome signs.

The conference programme covers political, economic and cultural events, including business meetings, exhibitions and national days of Central Asian countries.

The forum coincides with a number of significant dates: the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. This underscores Turkmenistan's commitment to peaceful cooperation.

The aim of the event is to develop partnerships and find solutions for the sustainable development of landlocked countries. The conference will discuss topics such as transport, energy, youth policy and the circular economy. Cultural events are also planned, including a friendship concert.
