At the XXX International Conference ‘Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025’, the President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, emphasised the new level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, according to the online news resource TerraNews.

He noted that the development of bilateral relations reflects the common goals of the countries, including their contribution to the global energy transition, and emphasised the importance of Turkmen gas for the world market.

R. Najaf confirmed SOCAR's active cooperation with Turkmenistan's ‘Türkmengaz’ and ‘Türkmennebit’, noting that the company's representative office in the country has been operating for two years.

According to him, the global energy sector is undergoing a ‘crossroads of transformation’ towards clean energy sources, which makes cooperation between the two countries particularly important.
