President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh in Ulan Bator on 2 June. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

Expressing gratitude to the President of Mongolia for the invitation and warm welcome, Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed words of greetings and best wishes from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Hero Arkadag recalls with special warmth the visit of the President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan in October last year, as well as his participation in the international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy.

In this context, Serdar Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed Turkmenistan's aspiration to deepen cooperation with Mongolia in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Stressing that the current visit is aimed at giving a new impetus to bilateral relations, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that by joint efforts the parties will be able to achieve significant results in realising the set goals.
