President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on World Bicycle Day. This is reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Head of State noted that mass sports and cultural events contribute to strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan as a country of health and high spirit. Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid special attention to cycling, stressing its usefulness and growing popularity in the country.

The President of Turkmenistan recalled the sporting successes, in particular, the victory of the ‘Arkadag’ team in the AFC Challenge League, and emphasised that Turkmenistan actively participates in international initiatives in the field of sports and ecology. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also noted the adoption of several UN resolutions at the initiative of the country, including the establishment of World Bicycle Day.

According to him, the state pays special attention to the education of healthy and active youth, as well as the development of mass sports and the Olympic movement within the framework of national programmes and reforms.

In conclusion, the President of Turkmenistan wished the citizens health, well-being and success for the prosperity of the Motherland.
