During his visit to Washington, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of cooperation with the US Congress for the development of bilateral relations. This was reported by the news agency ‘Turkmenistan: Golden age’.

This partnership is aimed at exchanging experience in lawmaking and discussing current regional and international issues. The Head of State recalled previous visits by American parliamentarians to Turkmenistan and stressed that strengthening interparliamentary ties contributes to mutual understanding and the development of political contacts.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov also noted the importance of cooperation with the United States in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, emphasising the effectiveness of the ‘C5+1’ partnership as a platform for discussing security, economic, climate and energy issues.
