Turkmenistan's Permanent Representative to the UN assessed the importance of women in society and the state

Aksoltan Atayeva, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, speaking at the conference ‘The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development’ in the ‘Awaza’ National Tourist Zone, emphasised the important role of women in modern society and global development. This was reported by the IIC.

A. Atayeva noted that Turkmen women preserve spiritual values and family traditions, actively participating in the life of the state, holding responsible positions and contributing to governance, education, culture and social processes.

The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN stressed that further progress of the world community is impossible without the participation of women, whose leadership, professionalism and social activity contribute to sustainable development and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The speech confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to supporting women and expanding their role in all spheres of public and state life.
