On May 21, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States, Esen Aydogdyyev, presented his credentials to President Donald Trump at the White House. This was reported by Turkmenportal, citing the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Washington.

During the ceremony, the two sides exchanged official greetings and conveyed best wishes from the leadership of both countries. The significance of more than 34 years of Turkmen–American relations was noted. Mutual interest in developing cooperation in areas of shared concern was reaffirmed.
