The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Halk Maslahaty, congratulated the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 34th anniversary of the country's independence. Hero Arkadag wished the Head of State good health, long life and success in his great endeavours for the benefit of the people and the country.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted Turkmenistan's achievements during the years of independence, emphasising that the country has become a dynamically developing state with a high international reputation. Among the recent successes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people mentioned the construction of new villages, residential buildings and social facilities throughout the country, as well as the exhibition of Turkmenistan's economic achievements in Ashgabat.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty also noted the active international activities of the President of Turkmenistan, including participation in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

In conclusion, the Hero Arkadag expressed confidence that the current International Year of Peace and Trust will be marked by new successes and large-scale celebrations.
