On 22 November, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan held a formal reception in honour of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, International Neutrality Day and the International Year of Peace and Trust. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Afghanistan, Heads of Diplomatic Missions and representatives of international organisations accredited in Kabul.

Guests were presented with information about programmes and events dedicated to the anniversary of neutrality, as well as preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held in Ashgabat in December.

Separate discussions were held on Turkmenistan's key projects in Afghanistan: the TAPI gas pipeline, the TAP power line, railway communications and the fibre-optic communications system. The humanitarian aid provided by Turkmenistan to the Afghan people was also mentioned.

During the reception, a video was shown about Turkmenistan's achievements on the international stage.
