National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty, congratulated President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Science Day. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The Hero Arkadag wished the Head of State good health, longevity and success in the development of science and international cooperation.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan has created all the conditions for scientific research, supports young people and develops ties with the global scientific community. He cited the granting of International Science and Technology Park status to the Academy of Sciences' Technology Centre as a striking example of this.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasised that thanks to the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan, cooperation with foreign scientific centres, including the International Association of Science Parks, is expanding. Scientific research is being successfully conducted at the Academy of Sciences, the International Science and Technology Park, the Oguz Han Centre, as well as in the fields of agriculture, medicine, biology and biomedicine.

According to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, science serves as the foundation for achieving national goals, and support for young scientists is an important policy priority. The country has established a regulatory framework for the development of science, adopted laws and implemented programmes.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is developing humanitarian cooperation with the UN and the EU, introducing international standards in education and science.
