During his visit to the United States, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. This was reported by the state news agency TDH.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, emphasising their interest in expanding cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Particular attention was paid to energy, transport, communications, as well as the development of trade and mutual trade turnover.

The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of projects in the field of transit and energy, including the TAPI gas pipeline, and also proposed to intensify joint consultations and exhibitions. The interlocutors expressed their readiness to cooperate in the scientific, educational, sports and tourism spheres.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the Prince of Kuwait to take part in the International Forum in Ashgabat on 12 December 2025, dedicated to the ‘International Year of Peace and Trust’ and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. In conclusion, the parties exchanged best wishes and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of their partnership.
